At Delaware Physicians Care we care about the well being of every new life. We want parents to be as prepared as possible to care for their new baby. Members of Delaware Physicians Care should notify the plan of their pregnancy right away so you can be enrolled into a maternity care program. Simply call Member Services at 1-866-543-2167.

Delaware Physicians Care helps pregnant women with special programs on how to stay healthy throughout their pregnancies and how to get the health care services they need.

If a member is pregnant she can expect:

• Education on nutrition, stages of pregnancy, fitness, childbirth preparation, sibling preparation and what mom can expect once the baby is born
• Regular medical care during and after pregnancy
• Information on supplemental nutrition programs such as WIC, dental care, child health services and family planning, if needed

Pregnant women enrolled in Delaware Physicians Care have access to our maternity care program, which works with the State of Delaware’s Smart Start Program. Call Member Services at 1-866-543-2167 for more information about our maternity care program.
